I am a NCCAOM Board Certified Acupuncturist, licensed in the state of New Hampshire. I received my Masters in Acupuncture at the New England School of Acupuncture at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS). I am continually awed by the ability of ancient medicine–meditation, basic Qigong (qi cultivation), nutrition, tuina (Chinese bodywork) and acupuncture–to re-balance the body.

After graduating from Bates College, I worked in several health care related positions before finding my true passion–using acupuncture to help the body heal itself.  I served as a clinical research associate, planning and carrying out eye allergy medication studies around the country.  I later served as a manager for two quality improvement programs to improve care for heart disease patients at MaineHealth, the parent company of Maine Medical Center and several community hospitals in Maine. In both of these positions, I had the opportunity to “wear many hats” and learn many valuable skills–from reading scientific articles to presenting data and findings, developing databases and working directly with study participants, medical offices and physicians.

Prior to returning to school, I served as Mom-in-Chief to two beautiful boys.  It was in this position that I gained a most valuable perspective–achieving wealth through health–by choosing healthy foods, exercising and practicing yoga, and avoiding medication when possible.  That being said, I too have fallen into ruts over time and have come to realize that it is often harder to maintain healthy habits than to achieve them initially.

If you are someone who does not like to live life on the sidelines, I am here to help.  In addition to practicing acupuncture, I am an avid half-marathon and Reach the Beach runner, a hiker working to complete all 4000 ft peaks in New England, a swimmer and water enthusiast (sailing, paddle-boarding, water skiing).  Injury impedes my ability to lead the active lifestyle that I love and I work to avoid it by keeping my body healthy and balanced.  I can help you work towards your goals, whether they be to live with less pain, reduce the symptoms of chronic illness, recover more quickly, or simply to feel less stressed.
